Aboriginal healer introduces ancient technique to city.

A TOOWOOMBA man is combining ancient Aboriginal techniques with eastern medicine to help people heal, transform and empower their lives. Alan Martin has started a business called Rainbow Warrior -and is a Spiritual Healer and Mentor.
"It's part of who I am. It's my purpose. It is my dreaming. I've been guided by the spirits to take this pathway."
Mr Martin is a proud Gungarri man from the Maranoa region and uses indigenous techniques in his healing including chanting.
He is also a master of the Japanese healing technique Reiki which helps reduces stress and promotes healing.
"It also taps in with what we do, our traditional ways."
Mr Martin said he connected with his spiritual ancestors and Mother Earth to channel the energy to his clients.
Emotional problems could lead to physical pain and removing "blockages" and struggles helped his clients feel better.
"It's an energy medicine. It's going back to natural ways of healing.
"A lot of us are getting sick and tired of being sick and tired and that's why we need to change."
